Reishi Introduction

Reishi has 5000 years history of use as medicine in China. Since the ancient time, it has been called the magic and auspicious herb, which was considered as a symbol of prosperity, happiness and longevity.

It was also known as “panacea” tribute for emperors, and won well-known title “supernatural eastern mushroom”from the western countries.

In The Dong-Han Dynasty, reishi was listed top grade in Shen Nong’s Herbal Classic, a most age-old medicine treasured book in China.

In The Ming Dynasty, reishi was recorded as bitter, nontoxic and tonic medicine in The Compendium of Materia Medica writtern by Li ShiZhen, which is good for brains and beauty, also will prolong life through regular eating.
